The webinar is a part of the Blandin Community Broadband Program Webinar Series (BCBP), originally started in June 2013. BCBP webinars are designed to provide rural Minnesota leaders with information they can use to help transform their communities into tech savvy places to live, work and visit.

The webinar, lead by COO and GM Albert Kangas, will focus on the many components of wireless technology. The session is aimed at helping participants gain a solid understanding about which wireless technologies will provide their community’s broadband Internet wants and needs. Focus will be placed on identifying various parts of the radio spectrum, how topography and tree cover impacts performance, the difference between licensed and unlicensed frequencies and how fiber makes wireless better.
