NewCore Wireless has contracted with the Round Valley Tribe in Covelo CA to deploy a 4G LTE network using Tribal EBS spectrum. The network will consist of new communication towers and equipment in Covelo which is currently underserved with both wireless communications and wireline broadband.
Round Valley and the tribal Information Technology and Cybersecurity consulting organization Spy Ego Media will deliver state of the art voice, video, and data capabilities to the Covelo and surrounding communities using Nokia Airscale base stations connected to both the Nokia NDAC EPC and the NewCore mobile EPC for both enhanced roaming and voice capabilities. This solution provides a smooth roadmap to delivering 5G with the vast amount of EBS spectrum.
The network is under construction with the goal of being operational by the end of 2020. A great working relationship with the Round Valley Tribe and Spy Ego Media has enabled NewCore to meet the timelines for delivering a robust solution.
